Magic crystals
Well folks, it's time to get my hands dirty and learn some new techniques! I'm about to dive into the wonderful world of crystal glaze, and I couldn't be more excited. I'll be joining a course with the amazing instructor Jose Mariscal Peneque, and let me tell you, I'm ready to learn some new tricks.
Now, if you're not familiar with crystal glaze, it's basically a type of glaze that creates these beautiful crystal formations on the surface of your pottery. It's like a magical fairy dust that turns your ordinary pot into a work of art. And trust me, I'm all about turning ordinary into extraordinary.
I've always been a big fan of glaze, but I have to admit, crystal glaze is a whole different ball game. It's a bit tricky and can be unpredictable, but that's what makes it so much fun! It's like playing a game of chance, and who doesn't love a good game of chance?
I can't wait to see what kind of creations I'll come up with after taking this course. I have a feeling it's going to be a wild ride, but with Jose Mariscal Peneque as my instructor, I know I'm in good hands. I'm sure I'll have plenty of laughs and a few "uh-oh" moments along the way, but hey, that's part of the process.
So, wish me luck on this crystal glaze adventure! I can't wait to see what kind of magic I'll be able to create. And who knows, maybe I'll even turn into a crystal glaze master by the end of it. But let's not get ahead of ourselves, one step at a time.
In all seriousness, I'm thrilled to be taking this course and expanding my skills as an artist. I'm always looking for new ways to challenge myself and push my creativity, and I know this is going to be a great opportunity to do just that. So, here's to learning, growing, and creating some beautiful pieces of pottery along the way!
These are my latest pieces that are ready for glaze and one more round in the kiln☺️
